We had a wonderful time on Saturday for the book launch for Where the River Rises! It was brilliant weather and we had the books and afternoon tea set up in the beautiful shade of the huge old trees at Heritage Park. Penny was out in the heat all afternoon giving children rides in her hundred year old wagon, pulled by her faithful horse Seth.
Unfortunately I was too caught up signing books to get a ride. But Penny has promised me one later. 🙂 I love the wagon! she got it at an antiques auction that we went to together a while ago. very exciting when she won it!!
About 150 people came and it was lovely to meet so many of my enthusiastic readers!
I showed a 15 minute Barn Chronicles movie that I compiled from our family videos. Hopefully I’ll be able to put that on my website soon for those of you who’d like to have a laugh. 🙂 All in all a wonderful afternoon. Thank you so much to those of you who came and shared it with us!!
