Cambodia here we come!

We’ve just skyped Kate and talked about the exciting news! Chris, Samuel and I have booked our tickets to come and visit her in July! We’ve been talking about it for a while now, and finally took the plunge. Chris and Sam have been planning to go there for their special Dad/13 year old son trip….I was a possible extra!! The plan is that they will have some days on their own doing some building – possibly a playground for the young children at Hagar – while I spend time with Kate. 🙂

At the moment she’s travelling around Cambodia visiting all the prisons with some other workers of the Prison Ministry. And loving it!

She told us tonight that they’re planning for us to do a concert in the prison where she teaches English – that it will be the big event of the year for the prisoners. 🙂 She assures us we’ll have a ‘captive’ audience. It’s so exciting. We’re also doing a concert at the international ex-pat church in Phnom Penh, and I’m hopefully going to do some sharing at different things.  And of course we’ll visit Angkor Wat and the Killing Fields, and go on an elephant trek. And we’re also going to be spending a few days in Vietnam. Oh boy. It’s exciting.

I’ve always wanted to go to Cambodia. I’ve written songs about it and prayed for it…and now I’m going. Thank you, Lord.
