Ducklings!

We have just had five of the cutest little Indian Runner ducklings hatch, and this morning Mama took them out for their very first walk in the orchard.

However we have lost so many young ducklings before – maybe to cats or pukekoes or hawks – so we caught them and put them and Mama Duck in a small cage until they get bigger. I love the loud peep peep peep they make. 🙂
