I had my ultrasound scan yesterday. It showed that the tendons are all okay, but there are signs of ligament damage. So I have to wait now for my specialist appointment and for him to organize an MRI. I guess I’m one step closer to sorting… things out.
I had a lovely evening afterwards with Mum. I tucked her into bed and as always we prayed for each other. When she started praying for me she hesitated and couldn’t find my name. I was just about to say ‘Rose’ when she gave a little chuckle and kept praying. “Anyway, Father, you never forget our names. You know exactly who I’m praying for.” What a gift it is that I’m still being blessed at night time by my mum!
As I drove home there was a beautiful sunset. I stopped the car and took this photo of the valley by our place. It made me think of the verse in Psalm 8: ‘You have set your glory in the heavens….When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, or human beings that you care for them?’
Here’s a lovely quote that I often think of.
“Have courage for the great sorrows of life and patience for the small ones. And when you have laboriously accomplished your daily task, go to sleep in peace – God is awake.” Victor Hugo
