Well, it’s almost definite now – there will be no filly for Milly. 🙁 Peony still hasn’t produced her foal, despite coming into milk around New Year, and she still looks small. She must have lost the foal sometime in the pregnancy. It’s very disappointing. We’re not sure what to do now – we could try again, but that’s another year…and Peony is really too small for Milly to ride now. We could of course just keep her and use her in the gig until such time as she foals. Anyway…we need to do some serious thinking about it. But I thought I’d better write something about it on my website as a number of you have been asking whether she’s had her foal. No filly for Milly. Sigh.
