We have just discovered a wonderful little verse and memorised it together. It’s Psalm 138v3:
“When I called, you answered me: You made me bold and stouthearted.”
Now I often find myself praying that I will be stouthearted. 🙂 And it’s a verse that often comes to mind when one of the children need to be brave. They like the verse because it makes them think of brave stouthearted Samwise Gamgee of Lord of the Rings.
Now we have started calling Sam ‘Sam the Stouthearted.’ Jake is ‘Jacob the Joyful’ and Milly has yet to be decided! She quite liked ‘Milly the Magnificent’ but others thought that was a bit over the top. 🙂
