At last! Our house has a roof! It took the roofers a full week to do it, but we now have the thrill of looking out from the barn and seeing the rustic red roof of our house through the trees. The night it was finished Chris and I went down there with a couple of kerosene lanterns and stood in each of the upstairs rooms and listened with delight to the sound of rain pouring on the roof. No more wet floors. A definite milestone in our building journey. Now for the windows and redwood cladding. Can’t wait.
