Tragedy or Comedy?

Today I have an ultrasound on my right wrist which was hurt in a volleyball game four months ago. It’s been an ongoing issue – first X ray showed no broken bone, second x ray three months later after lots of physio showed a fractured radius…, a follow up X ray ten days later showed no fracture. ??? In the meantime it’s painful and I can’t brush my hair let alone play volleyball. However I took my splint off yesterday and with lots of perseverance managed to plait my garlic.

Playing the guitar is extremely painful, so I’m keen to get it (whatever it is) sorted. Hopefully the ultrasound will show which tendons are damaged and maybe even solve the mystery of the elusive fracture. I’m seeing a specialist soon so am feeling optimistic about getting the use of my right arm back soon. Ah, that makes me think of a quote I could share here. Another one of Robert Brault’s quotes about optimists.Optimist: someone who isn’t sure whether life is a tragedy or a comedy but is tickled silly just to be in the play.

Optimist: someone who believes that even a second chance gets a second chance.
