Another wonderful day of beautiful music with two of my daughters in beautiful Christchurch. Tonight was the preliminaries for the Dame Malvina Major aria competition, and Eliza is through to the finals tomorrow night! (7.30 pm at St Mark’s Presbyterian church, for those of you who are interested.) I need to buy a new pack of tissues.

Another beautiful night of song at the Hamilton Premier Award. The same three winners as last night but in a slightly different order. First was Isabella Moore, second place Edward Laurenson and third place to Eliza! She also won the Mona Ross cup for the most promising artist. Well done, Ellie!!
