Valentine’s Day. I had a special one. Chris and I went up to the Homewood cabin for the night. We cooked Cajun chicken and rice on an open fire and cracked some sparkling grape juice. Watched a beautiful sunset and then the full moon rise above the pines.
We turned on the car radio and had a dance in the moonlight.
Woke to the sound of sheep and cattle outside the door and the deafening sound of thousands of cicadas.
I am blessed.
